Vincent resident Judy McAtee, center, was the local winner of The Parkersburg News and Sentinel/Marietta Times National Home Improvement Sweepstakes. McAtee received a $500 gift card from Honest Fred’s Flooring, the local sponsor of the contest, with locations in Parkersburg, Marietta and Spencer. McAtee and her partner, Donnie Allen, who teach line dancing in the area, are considering using the prize to purchase hardwood flooring for a dance floor in a “livable dance hall” they plan to build. Pictured Thursday at Honest Fred’s Parkersburg location are, from left, owners Shellie and Mike Miller, McAtee, Allen and Stephanie Kesselring, special projects coordinator for The News and Sentinel and The Times. The national contest included a $5,000 grand prize. (Photo by Evan Bevins)
